Enough Already with the Timid Language

As I expected would be the case, my interview with David Horowitz yesterday was fascinating. As many of you undoubtedly know, Horowitz, like Thomas Sowell, is one of the lucky ones who had the intellect to figure out the sham of communism and evolve into a committed conservative.
Horowitz is not your everyday case of a naive youth gone astray under the tutelage of Marxist professors. Hard as it is to believe, he got his communist training at home — from his own parents! He was one of those rare “red-diaper babies” with a mother and father totally committed to the worldwide communist cause.
Early in his career, Horowitz was a vocal supporter of the infamous Black Panther Party. But, much like what is happening today with ACORN, his bubble burst when he discovered that the party was steeped in corruption and crime — including violence.
He officially cut his ties with the Black Panthers when his close friend and bookkeeper for the Panthers, Betty Van Patter, was murdered. Horowitz believes that the Black Panthers killed her because they were concerned she was going to blow the whistle on their financial corruption.
I shared this brief overview with you because I want you to give serious thought to something else David Horowitz said in our interview. He emphasized several times that conservatives make a big mistake when they refer to people on the left as “liberals.” Having been there himself, he is adamant that the word liberal, as it is used today, is a misnomer. He says that most so-called liberals are really socialists, and that they should be referred to as such.
My past writings bear out the fact that I myself have believed this to be true for a long time. The only place where I might disagree with Horowitz is that I would not refer to those who are afraid to use the word socialist as conservatives. It would be more appropriate to call them pseudo-conservatives. You know … the conservatives in Congress who carry water buckets for their socialist buddies across the aisle.
By creating a crisis of unimaginable proportions, the Duplicitous Despot and his army of czars and assorted thugs have given Republicans an opportunity like none they have ever had before. And a nice young man from Chicago once told me that “you never want a serious crisis to go to waste.”
Unless the progressive fascists now in power can stave off free elections in 2010 — or use ACORN and other criminal organizations to rig the elections — the Republicans should win a majority of their races in a landslide. Especially if the Democrats ram through universal healthcare, which most Americans do not want.
If the Republicans allow the mushy McCain-Graham axis to prevail — if they sugarcoat their words about the opposition and its overthrow of the Constitution — they may well be responsible for blowing America’s last chance to turn back from a socialist dictatorship on the horizon and start moving once again toward a free society.
Republicans have a lot of nice guys and gals in their party (Tim Pawlenty, Bobby Jindal, and the now-deceased Mark Sanford), but being nice doesn’t cut it against thugs who are willing to do anything, anytime, to anybody in order to gain, and hold onto, power. If you don’t believe me, just ask David Horowitz, who knows from firsthand experience how these people think.
On the other hand, as we continue to see, American socialists cannot seem to figure out how to handle a kick-em-in-the-ass personality like Sarah Barracuda. She sounds more like Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin rather than Orrin Hatch or Mitch McConnell — which, I believe, is exactly what a majority of Americans now want to hear.
Of course, Sarah Barracuda is “not a serious person,” so the Dems need not worry about her, right? Now, Paul Begala is what I would call a serious person. Just look at all that he’s accomplished in his never-held-a-job career as a political parasite.
Note to Begala the Irrelevant: Keep up the nervous dismissals and you might just get exactly what you and your socialist buddies are so fearful of — a barracuda running for president who isn’t afraid to use the word socialist!

As always, excellent article. You mention creating a crisis of unimaginable proportions. I would bet you’re aware of the Cloward/Piven Strategy. The backbone of this strategy is to create a crisis; then overload the system. What comes to mind is the crisis of the welfare state and unwed mothers in the late 60’s, 70’s and 80’s till welfare reform was enacted. The system was overwhelmed during that era and its start coincides with Professors Cloward and Piven of Columbia University publishing a paper describing methods of creating chaos. No coincidence, I believe. Their goal was the overthrow of society through anarchy.
This would be an informative topic of a future essay as I think no one is aware of these two radicals and the effect they’ve had on society. The public is becoming more and more aware of Saul Alinsky and they should learn about Cloward/Pivin as well.

Robert,
It’s not timid language, it’s lies.
When we call a hammer a screwdriver because we try to be nice, politally correct, or average – a hammer is still a hammer.
Those who oppose freedom and those who oppose a free market economy should be called what they are.
Thank you for doing what you do, and keeping it real.

Robert, I’m so disappointed. I used to enjoy reading much of what you wrote. It seemed rational, well reasoned, and looking out for the good of the American people. Even when I thought, or knew, you were wrong it was fun to consider your viewpoint.
This article is sloppy, opinionated drivel that doesn’t illuminate the mind or calm the restless soul. You are starting to sound like that sub-human Rush Limbaugh. No constructive useful thoughts, just hate and anger, name calling and blame. Please get out of the pig trough of partisan politics and rejoin the intelligent path blazers, who are working to build a better country and a better world, I used to think you were a part of.
Come on!!! You can do much better than this article.

I am hearing a lot of voices being raised up in protest against the political machine that has been created in the last few years by the “liberal” demagogues. But we are still being misdirected by the media and the bandits in the new administration. This new “Health Care” bill has nothing to do with health, nor does it have anything to do with care! It is so totally about privacy invasion and control that it goes beyong anything I remember reading about when we studied Communism in school in the fifties. Back then, they called it what it was.
How can we let ourselves get drawn into arguments about “single Payer” vs. free choice, when there is so much of the bill devoted to allowing the “government” into our checking accounts, giving them control of our children, and forcing us to pay ACORN to police our own destruction???
Sitting around arguing with a president who hasn’t himself read the bill (and freely admits it) is a complete waste of time and energy. We must go further, we must become united against the real dangers facing us from this new america. Wake Up, and move past the sound bites, this might be our last chance!!

johrio: Are you with ACORN or SEIU?
I work in the information field. I’ve long thought, especially with the moves made regarding ACORN and moving the Census under WH control that scullduggery was afoot. I watch, I listen, I estimate…in 2010 I will conclude. They don’t need a sweeping victory…they only need to ensure ENOUGH votes their way. I hope I’m wrong. If I’m not wrong, I believe the US will be past the point of no return and the sky will be the limit! Then, the border wall that will be built….will be used to keep people IN!

I would like to assure Mr. Ringer with all due respect. That giving the middle class the same health care coverage the poor and elderly enjoy will not send this country into a socilist hell.
Mr Ringers books made a winner out of me years ago but I find it interesting that Mr. Ringer knows intellectually that the system we have now is not real captialism and free markets but rather a bought and paid for system. Which money is paid to politicos to enact laws that favor the rich and powerful.
Yet when BHO or the Clintions try and change any part of this Rigged Game that is played in Washington D.C. Mr Ringer howls instinctualy like a wolf at the moon. Robert, the system we have now is unstainable. It has to change, hopefully for the benifit of all of us not just the Rich and Powerful.
